Wood Wanderings

We attended the most interesting graduation of all time. An American family we know has a daughter who graduated from a school in the area. We had no idea the drama of the event. Before arriving, we received word that some members of the royal family would be coming to view their family member's graduation. After we were seated, they served the entire audience small cups of coffee and doughnut holes on toothpicks. And to make our time more enjoyable, incense was permeating the air. A reception followed the ceremony, but everyone was locked in the auditorium, until the royal family made their exit. We don't have any pictures of the actual event because all cell phones and cameras were confiscated.
After we got back the daughter opened her special gift from the royal family, and ironically the inscription on the golden horse was as if the royal daughter was the only one graduating, and the other graduates received this to honor her.
