Jan 1st as New Year's Day is not a big deal in the ME, so we were trying to figure out with we could do to make it special; earlier in the day we at at Pizza Hut. Later we went to the movies and finally we hurried, literally ran, to the big clock in town that was turning 12 as we rushed to get there. Here's a pic after making it there; no fireworks or singing or wishing people Happy New Year, just Marcus and Paula and the town clock.
